Volkswagen Brazil proudly introduced an exceptional Virtus Cabriolet at its Sao Bernardo do Campo facility, custom-crafted for the distinguished visit of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula de Silva. The grand unveiling showcased an extraordinary prototype, meticulously designed to serve as the President’s prestigious transportation within the plant’s various facilities. Impressively, the swift development of this convertible took a mere six weeks, thanks to the harmonious collaboration of a dedicated team of 30 professionals.
Going beyond the mere aesthetic transformation of removing the roof, Volkswagen passionately invested in substantial engineering enhancements for the Virtus Cabriolet. Key structural areas were fortified, suspension components received thoughtful upgrades, and doors were meticulously realigned to achieve a seamlessly sleek pillarless design. The car’s exterior boasts a breathtaking Biscay Blue finish and gracefully glides on 18-inch wheels, while the interior exudes sophistication with its elegant all-black design. Notably, the Brazilian-spec Virtus Cabriolet is powered by a formidable 1.4-litre TSI engine, setting it apart from the standard Virtus model available in India.
In essence, this extraordinary one-off project not only showcases Volkswagen’s unwavering commitment to innovation but also highlights the brand’s exceptional prowess in executing intricate engineering modifications in a remarkably short timeframe. The Virtus Cabriolet stands as a triumphant testament to the seamless fusion of design aesthetics and cutting-edge technical advancements, delivering a truly unique and purpose-built vehicle for this momentous occasion.
