Mahindra and Mahindra recently celebrated a remarkable achievement as they rolled out the 100,000th Scorpio N SUV, accomplishing this milestone in less than two years since its introduction in June 2022. The Scorpio-N, drawing inspiration from its successful predecessors like the Scorpio Classic, has swiftly gained popularity among consumers, becoming a flagship SUV for Mahindra in the Indian market.
In the sales performance for January 2024, Mahindra experienced substantial growth, with 43,068 SUVs sold, marking a notable 31% increase compared to the same month in the previous year. However, the company noted a decline in total exports for January, with 1,746 units shipped, down from 3,009 units in the corresponding period last year.
Looking back at the entire calendar year 2023, Mahindra witnessed a robust demand for the Scorpio, selling a commendable 1,21,420 units, showcasing a remarkable year-on-year surge of 89% from the 64,179 units sold in CY22.
Switching gears to December 2023, Mahindra reported the sale of 11,355 cars, depicting a significant year-on-year growth of 62% compared to the 7,003 cars sold in December 2022. However, the company faced a 7% month-on-month dip, with 11,355 units sold in December 2023, compared to the 12,185 units sold in November 2023.
